We now are boat owners again. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After much searching, we&#8217;ve found this Nicholson 38 sailboat that will carry us to many adventures. We wanted a stiff cruising sailboat rather than a tender racing sailboat. We also like her well-protected center cockpit, and separate aft cabin. We consider her ketch rig to also be a positive feature, though neither of us have sailed a ketch before so we have lots more to learn about sail trim.<\/p>\n<p>Rainshadow has been very well kept by her previous owners. She&#8217;s got lots of original equipment, with some of it rebuilt. She&#8217;s kitted out for long distance cruising, even passagemaking, so the possibilities with this boat are endless.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the deal to purchase Rainshadow is officially closed.
